Tips from Math Teachers to review for EOC
1. Play games before testing or before chapter tests.
2. The less than symbol starts with the letter L, and the less than symbol < looks like an L squished 45 degrees. Less than, shade to the Left. (remember the L's)
3. Make sure students are comfortable with the graphing calculator (use daily).
4. Have students prepare and teach a 15 minute review lesson.

10. When you divide by a negative number, you turn the sign around- to the tune of the Macarena.

13. Use TI Navigator and activity center to help students.
14. Reinforce how to use the calculator to find answer by working backwards.
15. Review game with individual dry erase boards. Each row is a team. Everyone holds up their board with an answer. If the first person is correct, team earns 5 points, 2nd person 4 points, 3rd person 3 points and so on. Then everyone switches seats before next question.

17. Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Use multiple choice questions on powerpoint/smarboard.
18. Try to teach how to READ math questions to see what the question really is asking.
19. Math football: have the class in 2 teams, get certain amount of footage for each correct answer, 3 points, 2 points, 1 point.
20. When doing review, starting in January, create an EOC notebook. Students have to write question, words, and answer this way they have something to study by right before test. Give a grade for every 10 questions. Do one question a day.
